Artisan Wednesday Wow

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Eeeekkkkk! It came so fast! I can't believe it. I didn't do too bad but lets just say most of my family will be getting New Years cards. Lol!
But on a serious note it wouldn't be Christmas in our house with out CHRIST so I have to take a second to acknowledge the birth of our precious Jesus & wish you all a joyous Christmas filled with lots of love & laughter. This year has been a blessed one for our family & we are truly grateful!

Ok now lets talk about my other favorite time of year...SALE A BRATION!!!
There are Soooooooo many fun products in the SAB catalog & the Good as Gold Card Kit is serious FAB!

This is the basic card that the kit makes (Adorbs!) but you know
I can nnneeevvveerrr leave well enough alone! So I started to tinker...

Very similar but I cut down the original card so I could make 2 cards out of one!
Next I took the Christmas Messages stamp set out & decided to make another "non" Christmas card with the fun sentiments from the set. I ended up with a cute card that can be used for a Christmas thank you or Birthday card.

Thanks for hopping along with us today!
Lets go share a little Christmas cheer with my buddy Alanna!

Artisan Wednesday Wow

Welcome to this weeks blog hop! I hope you are getting close to being ready for the big day! I wish I could say I was but I am behind as usual. I hope this weeks blog hop will kick start my mojo again so I can finish up all the projects sitting on my desk. Alrighty how about we talk about something I WAS actually able to complete!

This was my card for this month's SU Facebook page!
To do the faux embossing I just die cut a few of the butterflies & attached them to my card base & trimmed around the edges.

I have been giddy to stamp with the fabulous stamps that are part of next years Sale-a-Bration promotion so I paired them with one of Christmas sets from the Holiday catalog to create a lovely birthday card for a sweet friend! Lots of December B-Days going on around here...next is my precious Cami who will be 8 this Friday!!! Which means we will have two 8 year olds in the house for a whole 11 days until my other daughter turns 9 on New Years Eve! Good Times! Ok just for good measure since its Christmas time & all thought I better share at least one Christmas card...
As I might have mentioned in a previous post "The December Paper Pumpkin Kit Stitched Stars Are Fab!". I loved them so much I had to break out my machine & make more!!! I wanted them to be the "star" of the card so I kept it simple! Ok lets hop over to visit Alanna, I'm sure she has something fun in store for us!

Cami's Creation

My girls are so excited to have the opportunity to earn their own Christmas money this year! This started with my crafty 7 year old (a.k.a.#3)  & her never ending question "Can I Make Something?". Soo we started talking about Christmas & ideas of things she could make to earn some spending money for gifts & stuff. Recently we got an adorable candle holder from Bath & Body Works & it had a super cute snowman on it so I pulled out some punches & she got busy creating this little guy...

I helped her put together a few of these cutie patooty chipboard ornaments to sell to friends & family. Then we started talking about doing a video tutorial but she got camera shy. Lol! She did agree to let me do a photo tutorial though. As this is her attempt to be able to buy her own gifts for her sisters & donate money to the homeless (Totally her idea!) she is charging a very small fee for it. This child is my self less one, the one that truly prefers others over herself, she will give all she has to the bell ringers in front of the store or buy her sisters something instead of getting something for herself. Anyway I just love her to pieces & I am honored to be her mommy!

***5/2018 EDIT-This tutorial is no longer available as supplies have since retired***

UPDATE: First I must Thank You SO very much for supporting Cami & her quest to show love to others. Tonight we were able to purchase 12 brand new kids jackets that will be delivered to City Serve. You can see their Facebook page here  https://www.facebook.com/compassionnetwork
Thank you again for your support!
Another Up Date: From the Compassion Network FaceBook Page-

Status Update
By CityServe's Compassion Network
My heart melted when this little girl that I call "ornament girl" knocked on my office door with her arms filled to the brim with new warm children's jackets. Three little girls stood there with smiles ear to ear and said "that's not all" the whole family began unloading load after load of jackets, gloves, scarves, soup, water and more for the homeless and struggling in our community....I said "wow how did you know about this need", to which the mom replied that her friend on Facebook sent a message out to her friends. (the power for good on facebook) but that is not the best part of the story...the little girl that I (Christine) have my hands on her shoulders created a handmade ornament then sold it online (etsy) for people around the world and she made $500 then went out and bought these items for homeless people. It was ALL her idea and she was thrilled to serve her community in this tangible way! She has agreed to create a custom ornament for Compassion Network next year to raise funds to serve more people in our community! Thank you to those who share about what our churches are doing in the community...it only takes ONE person young or old to make a difference!!! Have a VERY merry Christmas volunteers!

Artisan Wednesday Wow

I wish time would slow down! December is just forging ahead full steam & it's making it hard to stay on top of things around here but some how I managed to get a couple projects squeaked out!
I am not typically a scrapbooker but since we are required to do scrapbook pages for our display board projects I thought it wouldn't hurt to practice. Over the weekend we went to cut down our Christmas tree & it was SOOOO cold. Keep in mind we are from California so under 50 is cold & it was like 38 degrees! Plus it was windy! Ok anyway back to my page...I used the White Chalk Marker to trace the Festive Flurry dies & for my journaling. My 7 year old daughter made up the punch art from looking at a candle holder we bought! She made some adorable ornaments to sell this year to make some money for Christmas & she is has the tutorial HERE. She wants to give money to the poor & buy her sisters gifts. Love that! Ok anyway getting side tracked again...
How about we just move on to my next project. When I saw the Fun with Christmas set I passed it by but after I stamped these tags I realized how cute this set is. Plus if you saw Jane's card from last weeks blog hop I am sure that is all the convincing you need!
Ok thanks for hanging out with me now its time to visit my buddy Alanna Wharf!

Artisan Wednesday Wow

Ok first off I must say all our hop buttons have been Fab but "Is this month's blog button not the stinkin' cutest?!" I'm in love! Please give a round of applause to the QUEEN of MDS Jeanna Bohannon!!! Please leave a little extra love when you hop over to her blog.
Alrighty Now on with show...

Surprised I haven't worn out my Festive Flurry dies! They have seriously been getting a work out! Anyway I wanted to do some simply cute cards that could be made on the fly since I craft a lot in the car...not while driving but when waiting for kids here & there. And I can fussy cut & color ANYWHERE! So just need to die cut a stack of these beautiful snowflakes, stamp my images, pack 'em up & I can finish the rest on the go. I am very big on multi tasking. Lol!

And because I can barely contain myself since I have had next years Sale-a-Bration stamp sets for a couple weeks already....

So everything you see here will be FREE during the SAB promo that starts in January! The banner stamp set, with matching punch...yes I did just say MATCHING TINY BANNER PUNCH!!!! Ok sorry I freaked out there for a minute, my favorite SAB stamp set is "See Ya Later" which is where the sentiment is from & that embossing folder....Squeal! There is a TON of other Free Stuff in the SAB catalog too! Its gonna be an exciting 2014!
I know I have teased you enough so lets go see what Alanna has been up to...
